Youth

• Youth group this Wednesday 7-9 pm at the church.

• Meeting tomorrow for Jr & Sr. High parents @ 7 pm at the church.

Young Adults

Meet tonnight at 6pm @ White’s home. Steve and Trista Olsen will be there, so come with questions you’d like to ask them.

Baptism

Today is the baptism service 3:30-5 pm at Robbie and Heather Howland’s home. Come and be encouraged. Don’t forget to bring lawn chairs to sit on.

Did You Know…

that Riverside has a food pantry? If it could benefit you or someone you know, please see Jen Stanley. We have bags in there just waiting to be filled and taken home. jen@jadasplace.com

RCC Library

We are almost there! The library will be opening in the next few weeks but you may register today. Drop in to register and take a sneak peek. Thanks for the generous donations, however we do need more children’s books. Donation info sheets are found in library as well.

Sunday School Teachers’ Meeting

Awana

Awana registration Ice Cream Social Night is September 9, 6:30-7:30 pm. This is the start of our Awana year so everyone needs to come and register.

L.A.T.T.E. Riverboat Ride

September 7 at 4pm the RCC ladies will be taking a ride on the riverboat at Pottawatomie Park. The cost is $7.50 each.

Softball Game

Tonight our 2 teams will be playing the 2 teams from Fox Valley Bible under the lights at Peck Fields @ 8 and 9pm. Come one, come all for a fun time.

ALSO: party for the two softball teams and families Dave and Suzy’s home on Sat., Aug. 30 . Doors open for games and swimming 3pm, dinner @ 5pm. Congratulations for great season!

Newcommer Connection

The next Newcomer Connection will be held on Friday, Sept.12, 6:30pm @ the church. This is a time for the newer people at RCC to eat dinner, get more info about the church and ask questions of the Elders. Please see Kathy Russell to RSVP.

Sunday School Teachers Still Needed

We are looking for a few more people who have a heart for children and teaching. We will supply the materials to teach and ask that you teach 2 ten week sessions over the 08-09 school year. Please prayerfully consider if God is leading you to serve in this area. For more info: Heather Howland
